Need breastfeeding knowledge
So when my son was born I was still testing positive for covid 3 months later. Because of that I was separated from him at birth for 2 days while he was in the nicu. I pumped a little at the hospital but the lactation consultant never came so I struggled when I got home actually getting him to latch. My birth was traumatic and I was already super stressed out and not feeling a connection so I decided to stop as it was putting more stress on me. Anyway im 8 weeks post partum and I had no idea that I wasn’t completely dried up...last night I was about to go in the shower and saw a little bead of milk so I tried to manually express and was shocked at how much was coming out. would I be able to start hand pumping even just an ounce a day or is it not worth it? Like am I going to get engorged again? I don’t want to full fledge start again for fear of feeling overwhelmed again.
