Pumping to induce labor? 39 weeks on Monday

Question

Have any of you found success with pumping to induce labor using a breast pump? I’ve read that nipple stimulation can start labor. FTM, I’m on day 3 of trying to induce labor at home, I’ve gotten the okay from my doctor.

I pumped 1 night, had strong Braxton Hicks the next day and my water broke the next night. I had my daughter at 38+1 (July 23rd). 
I really think the pumping had somethibg to do with it. I was also cleaning like crazy the last 2 days too lol

I can’t wait to try this! I’m hoping it will help get me off to a good start with breastfeeding. If I ho into labor that’ll just be an added bonus. Gonna ok it with my midwife on Tuesday- I’m 37w 1 day today, but they’re dating it off my last period so they have me at 37 w 6 days. I just didn’t want to start too early.

I’ve been nursing my entire pregnancy so at this point I think my body is just used to it and it won’t do anything anyway.

I haven’t been using a pump, I tried hand expressing and having my husband stimulate them.  Nuttin. The stimulation from husband works at bringing on some milder contractions but they never go anywhere.
