How do you guys rinse the poop off once baby starts solids?

What’s the best way to rinse off poop before throwing it in the washer? My baby is starting solids now. Is a sprayer necessary? Do you rinse off the poop right away? Or can you wait to rinse it off? Any tips/advice?

The sprayer is amazing and I think necessary. Without it I might have given up on cloth diapering. I also use liners in the diapers (cut up one of the cheap $2.50 fleece blankets from wal mart). Poop comes off them easily.  With my first I would spray them right away with my second I usually end up doing them all on wash day. Doing them right away it does come off a little easier

You’ve got lots of good answer. Just to add something that I haven’t seen mentioned; try using a potty or toilet seat reducer to avoid it altogether. I very seldom have to deal with it because I put him on the toilet after every meal (the routine that works for us) and he goes there.

I don't rinse as any water added speeds up the buildup of ammonia. I use fluffy fleece liners, wait till the end of the day as it's easier when the poop has dried a little then 90% of all poops just fall off the liner into the toilet. If they don't then I have a dedicated blunt knife which scrapes the poop off the fleece into the toilet - takes seconds and you don't have to worry about splashback from a sprayer 🤢

We use a sprayer and shield. Easy and no matter how nasty the poop is, comes off and I don’t have to touch it

I use a spray pal sprayer and shield (you clip the diaper onto it and spray the poop into toilet so water doesn’t splash all over your bathroom). However, I noticed that my baby’s poop is more solid lately so I’ve just been flushing it without spraying. Having the sprayer on hand is great.

We have a sprayer. It was like $20 on amazon and my hubby installed it. We have a small trash can with the bottom cut out that we use as a spray guard. I try to get to them right away but sometimes they're there for a day before I remember them 🙃

I’ve never used a sprayer or liners. No stains or Stinks. Breastfed poop is water soluble so it dissolves. When they start solids it’s more peanut butter and plops off into the toilet.
Been using cloth for many many years
