Question ladies?!

So I’m talking to this guy, and his friend (I think )who’s a girl send me a friend request on IG . I don’t have a problem accepting it but I’m pregnant and he told me he wasn’t ready to tell anyone yet. I was going to announce it soon but I dont want to have her waiting for a week for me to accept her friend request nor I don’t want to seem like a jerk for declining it . Should I tell him what I should do?
