Blocked Tubes
36 years old, trying for my first. Went in for a saline sonogram today. There was the gynaecologist, lab tech, and a student in the room all staring at the screen agreeing that they couldn’t see anything. Apparently, they can’t get the saline into my tubes? He could see the “canal” but said that no saline was entering my tubes so he couldn’t see them and they may be blocked. He asked me if I had any questions about that but I suddenly felt so overwhelmed and sad that all I could do was shake my head ‘no’ because I was trying not to cry, and was hiding my weepy face behind my mask (small COVID blessings! 🤣). But I do have questions!
Now I’m back home, crying and trying not to show my husband because I don’t want him to feel even more pressure than he has to, but it feels like my body is just constantly letting me down. Have others heard that they have blocked tubes or had the saline sonogram? What does this mean? Was there a next step for you? Any thoughts or experiences desperately welcome.
