Billed separately?

Was anyone else billed separately for the retrieval and transfer? I’m going through insurance and they sent me a quote for the retrieval and said they’ll send a quote for the FET during that cycle. 
Has this happened to anyone else?? It worries me not to know the total price, including the medications.

Yup! Everything was billed separately for me. Even the retrieval and the anesthesia for the retrieval were separate bills.

Yup, exactly how my clinic does it & im all OOP. I wish the first transfer (no matter fresh or frozen) was included in the initial IVF package. My PCOS cause me to fork up another 2200 for a frozen transfer

Yeah that is pretty standard. You can call and ask for a pricing sheet for FET cycles. It won't include labs or meds usually but you can ballpark the expense. If you know your FET protocol you can know your meds ahead of time too.

Yes. Sometimes a fresh cycle might be billed with the original retrieval but fet’s are usually separate since they could be months later
