Infertility

Kelcie

So me and my husband have been TTC for a year now. Earlier this month I went to the doctor to see what was going on and why we weren’t conceiving. I had a bunch of different testing done. Everything came back normal.

Today we got results back for my husband. It turns out that he has a low sperm count and low motility. I have a little bit of knowledge about what this all means. The nurse was talking to me over the phone about IVF and contacting a urologist. Everything was kind of a blur after she told me he had abnormal results. I was pretty emotional about it. I don’t know what all she said.

I came home and right away my husband wanted to contact the fertility place to set something up so we can talk about different options. He googled what he could do to increase count and motility. He is adamant about changing his diet now and taking vitamins that are supposedly supposed to increase both count and motility.

Has anyone else been through this that can share their story? I feel awful for my husband. I know he feels so upset and like it’s his fault.

Is it possible for us to still get pregnant naturally? I never thought I would be in this position we are in and have to discuss IVF. It doesn’t feel real. 😕

I don’t know anyone else who has gone through this personally. I just need support.
