Any mothers out there have (SUA) SINGLE UMBILICAL ARTERY ?

Hi mother’s, just wanting to know if there are any mothers on here that have this condition? Or have had this is previous pregnancy’s and might want to share your experience with us please. I have been told by my doctor that I have only one artery in the umbilical cord.

With my first pregnancy my daughter had SUA. Sometimes it can lead to growth restrictions or heart issues. They'll probably do more ultrasounds to monitor growth and ensure your baby is growing properly. Thankfully my daughter was fine in the end without any issues. Wishing you the best!

I had this my first pregnancy. I freaked out but seriously don't. It rarely affects baby's growth. You'll get extra ultrasounds to keep an eye on their development. My daughter was born at 37 weeks weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces. Shes now 2 years old and in the 97th percentile for growth.
