Why do I keep getting followers on here?

Like what is the point of following someone?  What makes you follow someone on here? Lol

Sometimes it’s nice to follow people that you enjoy reading their posts or comments. Sometimes it’s because they may have similar views to your own or sometimes it’s because you feel like you learn a lot from their perspective or education on different topics.

I’ve gotten a TON of followers lately, and I’m not sure why. It seems like most of them are brand new users...I was wondering if something odd was going on or if it’s legit people?

I follow people that I see on here often and that have same views as me and that I get along with lol I don't really know the point in following though they don't show up any more or less than any other name on here that is here regularly.
