What type of activities are you guys doing with littles to expand their minds nad burn energy?

AB

We both work full time and have an older family member watch our son during the days. She does a great job but she’s older and set in her ways so they don’t do much more than playing with his toys, reading and some TV (plus, nap, eating, daytime bath, etc). We had planned on enrolling him in some part time daycare to get him more stimulus, energy burn off and social interaction but then Covid happened and I’m pregnant so him picking up germs at daycare is a big no right now.

We try to take him for walks or outings early mornings/evenings and weekends but I feel like there’s never enough time or the right weather.

What are your go to fun 16-17-18m old activities???

I’d love to paint or color with him more but he will just eat it all and shred the paper... he’s a bit destructive.

I follow busytoddler on Instagram and she has wonderful ideas but then I think of my son and regardless of her activity I’m like, ya he’d just pour it all out on the floor, eat it or destroy it in about 1min. Then I feel a bit guilty for but even trying.

So what are you all doing?
