IVF First timer excitement!

James

My infertility is due to tying my tubes after my second child at 23. Biggest mistake and TOTAL regret making that decision. Well I’m now 38 and with One failed tubal reversal we looked into IVF. We were pleased to find that we were able to afford minimal Stimulation IVF. Never heard of it before but was happy to try anything at this point. I only took Clomid 250mg for 5 days to produce mature eggs. I went in Tuesday for my sonogram and had 6 eggs so Doctor said we would do the retrieval Thursday which was yesterday. Retrieval was successful and I was told my eggs were very good. Got the follow up call today and ALL 6 fertilized! Ughhhhhhhh I’m so excited. Hopefully they make it to blastocyst. Back story my husband is 43 and we we will be married for 19 years this November. We have 2 children together aged 17 and 15. He has 3 from his previous marriage and for that reason we decided to tie my tubes at such a young age. We had no trouble getting pregnant whatsoever. It was keeping it from happening that was the problem. I got pregnant both times on birth control including the shot 🙄 hence the regrettable decision to tie my tubes. But I tell everyone that making a decision like that at such a young age is stupid. I feel like that shouldn’t be an option that young. Anywho I’m so excited and hopeful. Not sharing what we’ve been doing with our family and friends. I don’t need or want anyone’s input on what we should do with our money. Anyone else have a similar experience?
