Help diaper rash

My 15 month old has never had a diaper rash until 3 days ago. Poor little thing it looks so sore. Any tips or tricks would be really appreciated right now. So hard to see her in pain. Any advice on baking soda in baths? Doctor has given a perscription for diaper cream we will pick it up this evening and try it. Any help would be awesome thanks
