Test pregnant - now what?

So we had sex around my ovulation and 2 wks later I took 3 test - all on the day my period was due.  All came out positive.  I’m literally 2 wks pregnant. Now what?  How long do I wait to confirm pregnancy w heartbeat and all?  I can’t wait that long to tell my family..this is driving me nuts!

Youre classed as 4 weeks pregnant as pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last period.
You can make an appointment with your doctor now, when you will have the first scan and determine heartbeat etc will be down to your personal circumstances and your doctor.
Telling people and when to do that is up to you. Some ladies prefer not to tell anyone other than the father of the baby until they've either confirmed the pregnancy or in some cases not until they've passed 12 weeks....

Thank you!  Ohhh didn’t realize it’s counted from my last period.  I was wondering why it felt like such a long wait.  I was first pregnant at 36 and now again w my 2nd at 43!  Very nervous and scared of how things will be this round.  But of course super excited.

That’s super exciting and if it we’re me I would be so excited and 12 weeks sounds like a crazy amount of time to wait. The reason women wait that long is because in the first trimester the chances of losing the baby is 10% which is pretty high, odds get better if it’s not your first and usually the rule of thumb is not to tell anyone you would be uncomfortable telling you miscarried. Otherwise congratulations!
