Question about contractions?

I’m a FTM, and I don’t want to sound dumb, but where exactly will you feel contractions at? I’m also wondering if I’ve been having Braxton Hicks contractions because I’ve had abdominal cramping, similar to mild period cramps and light lower back Lin. It comes and goes, it’s not unbearable pain... more uncomfortable... I hate to ask this, but I just don’t understand where I would feel the pains or what these pins feel like!

If they go away and they don’t progress in intensity or frequency then you are experiencing Braxton Hicks. This pregnancy I’ve dealt with them since week 24.... they are uncomfortable and sometimes the hurt and wrap around my back or spread down my thighs around my groin as well as a sharp noticeable pain low in my belly. 
They don’t feel anything like a real contraction. But your body is practicing for when it is time. As a first time mom you hear “you’ll know when you have your first real contraction”. I heard that so many times my first pregnancy and it was annoying...... and also true.

Everyone’s different, some have back labor, and will feel contractions in their back, some lower abdomen, some will feel it all around the belly, I’ve heard it described as a belt around your lower abdomen tightening as the contraction gets stronger. Braxton Hicks, you’ll know you’re having one if your belly gets real hard, some people feel crampy others don’t feel any pain, for me, my whole belly gets really hard and tight, and I’ll feel breathless. And here and there I’ll feel pressure around my cervix area and some cramps, that could be the baby’s position down there etc.

For me, they felt like period cramps/ gotta poop cramps lol I felt it in my lower back a lot more!
