Would you join a differ faith community just for support?

I'm not a believer but I'm missing having a support system so I'm thinking of joining a Church just for the community of it. Would you join a faith you don't believe in just for the community??

Probably not because I would get very annoyed. I don’t like to listen to people talk about their religion. But a church around here hosts events for the public and I do go to those.

As a person who is part of a faith community I do believe in, it is not my place to question other’s motives in why they choose to be present. As long as they are not doing anything to bring down those who do firmly believe, the idea that someone would attend church or events just to be social and feel accepted doesn’t phase me in the slightest

I would join an inner faith group but I would not join a completely different religion/faith group.

There are non denominational churches around that you could join. I wouldn’t though because I don’t believe in god necessarily. I’m more of a “at home spiritual” person.

I’m not religious. Raised catholic and have reasons why I left the church. 
But I totally see why people find support in faith. We got married in a Unitarian church, and I could see myself there.
A friend became a Buddhist and she’s never been happier. Another friends mom, while her husband was deployed because a johova witness. Someone knocked on her door when she needed a friend

I’m not religious but I do sometimes attend the church I grew up in, that my parents still attend, because of the community. They also take my son every week so he can go to Sunday school. I’m not going to raise him to be religious (but won’t try to dissuade him either) but it’s a good time for him to socialize with other kids
