Has anyone had their toddler sedated (general anesthesia) for dental work?

Question

The dentist told me my three year old needs to be sedated to have fillings and two teeth taken out. 
I am extremely scared.
I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this.

Yes my 3 year old. She was 2 at the time. I worried so much months leading up to the appointment. But everything was good. It was done in 45mins. I asked so many questions.

I did when my daughter was just about 3.It went well..I wasnt allowed to be there when she opened her eyes..was hospital policy .Inwas nervous but the nurse there was great..it only took a few min before they gave her to me.I was pregnant n so worried but it went fine

I was a dental assistant for 12 years and I can tell you it’s really really hard to work on young kiddos.  I think it’s more traumatic to make them go through it awake. It takes longer and it’s hard to do a really good job.

Yes my older son was sedated for dental work many years ago. It went well. The medical people were great and it took less time that I expected. It was less stressful than when my 6 year old (now) 8 had a tooth pulled without sedetion. (that was pretty tough for her)

My daughter did when she was 2. I was a nervous wreck so I had my husband go with her. My husband told me she didn't drink the whole medicine and she woke up before the procedure was over. She ended up ok afterwards.

My little brother had to be sedated when he was about 3to have caps put on every single baby tooth he had. And he came out of it just fine

My friend's 4 year old just had this done within the past week. Poor girl needed 5 fillings. She was soooooo nervous, but everything turned out great 😊
