How did you know you met your soulmate or they were “the one”?

Honestly just knew. Its the way you feel with the person. Safe, comforted, at ease. Its the look in their eye and their smell. Its no judgment or shame. Its warmth.

I was friends with my husband when we were like 11 or 12. We dated 2 weeks when we were young and ive ALWAYS had a crush on him i once told him we were gonna get married and have kids. We lost connection in high school (both being in other relationships and what not) and we reconnected when we were like 23 or 24. Now we have been married for 3 years and have 1 baby together  ttc #2...literally a dream come true

Honestly sometimes after time you do just know. My husband and I both said we felt that “zing” and knew at the same moment(obviously we didn’t know it then lol but after we got engaged it came up and we surprisingly had the same answer, nothing special, we were sitting in the car with my mom in a Walmart parking lot and I just looked back at him and felt it, he said it was that same mom t he felt it too 😂

Honestly you do just know but for my husband it was how he felt. When he held me for the first time once we started dating it calmed every nerve in my body, he felt safe and he felt like home.

I know you don’t want that answer, but I just know this time. I’ve been in two other serious relationships (one 4 years, one one year) and I never felt this way. I thought I would grow into it with the others but never did. Also, unfortunately, my boyfriend and I went through a recent loss (chemical pregnancy). For me, it has reaffirmed my love for him.

My bf and I started dating in high school. I was struggling through depression and my anxiety issues were starting up at the time. I expected him to just get up and just leave, that he wouldn't put up with it. Instead, he asked how he could help and made an effort to make me feel safe whenever a panic attack hit. Thats when I started to think of him as the one. We've rarely had a fight and support each other every chance we get. I never knew it could be this great. Being with him is easy, safe, and happier than I ever could of imagined. And he talks about getting married after I graduate almost more than I do so I guess thats a good sign too😂💛

But....that's the answer. The truth and the most descriptive way I can convey to you that I knew he was the one is that "I just knew".
I laid eyes on him and something sparked intensely. It was an instant connection and attraction that was never duplicated. As we dated, the feeling became stronger. The bond became more intense and the idea of living my life without him became OUT of the question. 
It was a spark that ignited a BLAZING fire immediatley. I just knew.

Honestly it’s just an instant connection. Feeling comfortable. Him saying and acting they way that I wanted/ needed a partner to act. From day 1 we couldn’t go a day without seeing each other (and before him I had to convince myself to go out on second and third dates cause I was so uncomfortable). I think people say “when you know, you know” because everything just feels like it should have always been that way.
