Do you give you baby the run of the house ?

Do you let your baby go anywhere in the house or do you have a designated area for baby to play throughout the day?

We have the kitchen/dining room gated off but let him go anywhere else. He won't go in dark rooms but loves running down the hallway to visit his teenaged brother.

We given him the whole house minus the stairs cause they have gaps between them and he’s come close to falling between them

Yes but we keep the door to the bathrooms, the basement and the door to my office closed. Everywhere else he has free rein lol

We have a gate for the top of the stairs for when we’re up there so he doesn’t fall down them, but we keep it open when we’re downstairs. We also have locks on the cabinets that have the dangerous stuff in them. Otherwise he’s pretty free range. Our house is a mess, but I didn’t want to confine him to just one room.

Yes, to an extent. Our house isn’t really that big so there’s not much to worry about. We keep the doors to the bathroom, closets, and laundry room closed. We have locks on the cabinets and a gate blocking the stairs.

He can go anywhere. I just baby proofed every drawer or cabinet, corners and even the toilet seat. God knows he needs the movement in this Corona season. Yet again, my place ain't that big and I don't have stairs.

Yes and no. We have baby gates up to block her from certain rooms but when both of us are home and doing things around the house she roams around and explores

No really. We have two gates. One between our living room and kitchen so she can’t be in the kitchen without supervision. The rest of the house we keep all the doors closed, so she can basically be in the living room! Also we end up using the play pen to protect the tv area instead of limiting our baby to a small space!

I close bathroom door, our bedroom door, and then daughter has run of house ... to an extent. We've baby proofed pretty good, and if she tries to mess with things she's not supposed to, we divert her to something different.

We use a baby gate, which is in the living room. If it's ever open she either heads for the stairs (which she can climb up no problem but can't get back down) OR straight to the kitchen to play with the dogs food bowl or opening and closing the bin/cupboards/oven.
