Advice needed asap

I have been married for 2 years. My ex is getting released from prison next week. I was him for 10+ years. He has been incarcerated for 13 years and we have 1 child together. Well today I received a call from the prison unit and they said he told them to call me for his release pickup. My ex doesn’t have anyone to pickup him up so I said “yes” because I don’t want him to be stuck and out. However, I don’t know how to tell my husband that I agreed to pick him up. I plan on picking him up and taking him to his sister’s house. My mind is going 100 mph it seems. Any feedback is appreciated.

I talked to his sister for 3 hours. So she said that she was expecting the phone call with his release and that the plan was for him to come stay with her and she doesn’t know what he’s trying to pull. So we planned for her to pick him up. She said all of his “friends” were also recently released and he’s trying to come my way versus where she stay which is 4 hours away. So he’s going with her which is good great so he doesn’t get mixed back in with the wrong environment. So glad I called her and told her what happened. He’s going to be shocked. Because whatever he’s planning is going how he thought with having me pick him up.
