How do I tell my ex fiancé (which by the way we didn’t break up due to abuse,cheating or anything like that) just lack of communication and family drama. Which we are both working through and learning from past mistakes. However, he still kept the engagement ring he gave me the first time and I don’t really want that ring. It’s attached to bad memories and I just want to start fresh. It has nothing to do with small/large diamond im not materialistic. But eventually how would I tell him I don’t want that ring?? We aren’t ready for that step right now so I feel like now is not the time but eventually I feel like I want to tell him. Anyone have a similar situation/story? Let me know thanks
