So we started potty training our 2 year old (28 months). The first 3 days, he would actually sit on the potty when I would put him up there. Now day 4 he fights me on sitting on his little potty. He screams and won’t sit. Every day when he would start to pee I would say “stop, let’s go to the potty!” And he would stop mid pee and come with me to his potty and finish peeing in there. Even today. So I know he has some type of bladder control if he can stop and then go sit and finish peeing. But he doesn’t initiate going to the potty. I always have to stop him mid pee. Even when I see him crossing his legs, he still fights me on sitting on the potty. Did I start too soon? I feel like I’m already 4 days in and I should just keep doing it. I mean he would always bring me a diaper when he soiled his. It holy crap, I am losing my mind and I’m only 4 days into this roller coaster. Should I just stop and wait longer or keep going? I’m just keeping him naked so I can identify his “potty cues”.
