ACNE!!! What is your routine???

Question

Occasionally, I have jawline acne around my period, but since the 1st trimester there is this CRAZY jawline/chin & hairline acne.  I have tried so many regimens - to no avail. Skin is much too sensitive these days, and weirdly very dry like reptile skin but also really oily.
What do you do for your skin woes??? Share with the class please!

All my holy grail products I used before pregnancy are out because of chemicals (parabens, salicylic acid, etc). I was a Sephora fanatic... sadly, even a lot of the “Clean at Sephora” products aren’t necessarily pregnancy safe or ideal. I tend to be more conservative with chemicals and the baby. 
Earlier in pregnancy my skin was really dry but prone to deep hormonal acne nodules. 
I finally decided to keep it stupid simple to see if it would help: I’m now using Burts Bees miceller wipes to remove makeup and following up with the Belli acne fighting face wash. Then just a simple Neutrogena hydro-boost water gel moisturizer. That’s it. (No toners, serums, face oils, masks, etc 😭) It seems like in the last two weeks it’s been mini, easy to resolve whiteheads instead of deep painful cysts. My acne is a lot better and I’m not as dry.

My acne was the worst it had ever been with my first pregnancy. Now I have been seeing an esthetician monthly for pregnancy safe facials. She also recommended Glymed products to me based on my skin’s needs and my skin is holding up alright. It’s not fully clear but I’ll take what I can get. Also, cut out dairy products!!! I’ve switched to almond milk and vegan cheese. It actually has made a difference so far. Good luck!

I have the same issue. When I cut out dairy my skin is 100X better. It may not be what you’re putting ON your skin, but rather what your putting INSIDE. Try switching out all your dairy products for about 2 weeks and you should notice a difference.

I would highly recommend getting a silicone facial cleansing brush. I use one by PMD but there are plenty on the market. It has totally changed my skin, works great for unclogging pores and preventing breakouts.

I swear by Biossance or honestly any natural line. Our bodies are going though so many changes physically and hormones so unfortunately there is no sure fire solution that works for everyone.

I’m 24 weeks and still dealing with pregnancy hormone acne around/underneath chin neck area and my left side of face it’s horrible it seems to come and go but I wish it would stay the ef gone it’s made me really self conscious lately.
