Foreskin ?

We had our 4 month check up today, and our pediatrician told us we should pull back his foreskin once a day?... ive read differant info on it but im just confused

Academy of American Pediatrics’ (AAP) stance on the issue. The AAP clearly states that foreskin should not be retracted. A boy’s foreskin retracts on its own, in its own time, the AAP explains, and doing so prematurely can result in harm to the child.

My husband and son are both uncircumcised he said DONT PULL IT because when he starts having sex and masterbating it will get pulled down and it hurts the first time he said.

Yep. His pediatrician showed me how. Bc i didn’t know either. Things get caught behind it so you roll the skin down from the tip as far as you can and clean it real good. I’ve seen stuff get caught before so I’m glad I was told to do this. I don’t want him to get a infection or something from it.

I was told not to with my first son so I didn’t. I was told to do it with my second son. I wish I did it with my first son. It’s such a big difference. My first son got a male version of a uti from it.

We do that for our son. We pull it back at least once a day to clean the area really well. 
My pediatrician suggested it.

Big Nope. You’re doctor is operating on outdated information. You’re never supposed to retract their foreskin. Only the child should do that, when they are older, around puberty. Then it will retract readily and they can clean it themselves.
