I’m at risk for early labor. I got a vaginal exam and the doctor said i had a cervical shortening of 2cm and that my cervix was softened. Is that how to say it? I guess it’s not the same thing with being dilated.

Doctor said it means that my uterus got shortened? I have no idea gosh🤦🏻‍♀️
