NIPT testing

Who all has had this?

Do I just ask for it? Or how does this work? I had genetic testing done on me a few weeks ago but I know this is different. Since my Ob and MFM wanted that genetic testing I’m assuming they want the nipt? I’m high risk and have a family history of genetic abnormalities. My insurance should cover it if my doctor orders it right?

I’m 10w1d and have an appointment in the morning. If he doesn’t bring it up I was thinking about asking him about it but I’m unsure on what exactly to say
