Can strep throat give you dizzy spells?

I went to the doctor because I thought i had vertigo, I’ve been dizzy for almost a week with no other symptoms. Apparently I tested positive for strep but my throat doesn’t even hurt. Is this normal or did the doctor give me an incorrect diagnoses??

That was one of my first symptoms anytime I had strep. (Which was every few months.) I'd get dizzy, my vision would blur and I'd have crazy ringing in my ear. Within 24 hours of that I'd end up with a fever and sore throat.
