Covid family stress
Hello guys. I’m having such a hard stressful time dealing with living with in laws (we are moving out of state in two weeks thankfully) who don’t seem to give a crap about possible exposure for my one year old and a husband who refuses to speak up for his daughter.
We are currently in a cabin for a week for a “relaxing” getaway before moving. I’ve been so careful with making sure my baby is okay and that I don’t catch anything to pass onto elder family members that watch my daughter but it has been the worst thing ever with my in laws. They had their 19 year old daughter move in for a bit when the college dorms shut down and she went out with friends all the time, went to parties, and brought her friends over to the house. She ended up getting covid because she went to a party right after she moved in with some other college students and was thankfully in another state when it happened. She ended up being pretty okay and has been symptom free for over three weeks.
The only issue now is my in laws who were nice enough to pay for this vacation are now having her and her friend/roommate come up with us and stay for two nights and they just had a new roommate move in two days ago from out of state. I’m having such a hard time not just packing everything up and not caring if they get their feelings hurt by taking my daughter and leaving. I’m constantly having to fight about this garbage stuff with them and they just don’t seem to care! I’m on the verge of tears being so stressed and would have to rent a car to get back home as we drove up with the in laws since we live with them already.
I just need advice and words of wisdom because I’m just about done with this family and my husband not taking this serious.
What would you do?
