I need serious help from all the makeup gurus on here. I have no idea what I am doing.

I have a foundation (dermablend cream foundation and Laura geller spackle primer if it’s worth mentioning) I love it because I have acne scarring and it gives me full coverage.

The problem is, and I don’t know if I am describing this right, maybe there’s a makeup term but I have no idea, it’s like kind of thick and super creamy and doesn’t really stay where it’s supposed to. Like it will cake up in certain spots. I bought a dermablend loose setting powder, but I don’t know if I can use something else instead? The setting powder is literally white and looks like baby powder. And I am using like a random brush. I don’t even know what brush to use

So ladies- does anyone recommend a setting spray or powder that will work?? And if you can please tell me what can of brush to use to apply the setting powder I will love you forever!!
