I have waist Length, average thickness, and 2 boxes is enough. It might be if you're trying to go a different color. Mine was same color as my hair, just covering my greys.

I use one but that's cause I have thin ass hair no matter how long it is I always have a little leftover but if your hair is normal or thicker use two
