Birth Control @ 31?

I'm 31 and as single as single can be 🤦🏾‍♀️ but I definitely want kids in the near future...with the right person. Meanwhile, I'm on birth control to guarantee no slip ups. Should I stop taking bc because I'm now 31? I would hate for it to complicate things for me in the future?

Your birth control isn’t going to mess with your fertility. Stay on it until you’re with the person you want to have a baby with.

I'm going to be 37 in September and still want to have a baby before I'm 40, but not right now because my husband and I are in the middle of fostering to adopt a 5yo girl and 4yo boy.  I talked with my doctor and she put me on Nexplanon this past April.

I would stay on it just to keep everything sorted until you’re ready. I was on the pill for years and then had 2 mirenas back to back and got pregnant 4 months after I took it out, and first month of actually ttc. It’s different for everyone. Speaking to your doctor is probably your best bet.

Maybe the family planning method? Takes more effort but it’s hormone free and since you learn your body it makes it easier to become pregnant in the future? Plus since you’re single you can definitely take the time to truly learn your cycle without having to worry!
