Opinions on manual VS. electric pumps?

So I’m debating on which is better. I’ve heard people say with the manual they get more supply. I’m thinking that my hand will get so tired from manual pumping though. Opinions? I’ve been leaking a lot my whole pregnancy so I think my supply will be good.

Regular electric pump will be best for work and etc. Haaka is great to catch let down while you nurse. A hang squeeze pump I used when I was painfully full in middle of night or AM and baby wasn’t awake yet. Kept it on night stand. Just do a few squeezes to relieve but still be full for nursing.

Get both! I hard a Medela pump with my oldest and the parts fit both for an electric pump and the manual one. Worked brilliantly.

The hospital provided me with a great hand pump with my first and hoping they will this time. I got a spectra 2 as my electric through insurance and it’s great !

Get both. You can get a hand pump under $20. Get the electric through your insurance so it’s free. Spectra for electric, and I have a NUK hand pump it was around $15. Don’t pump during pregnancy or you can induce labor.

It depends on how you're using it. If you're pumping regularly eg at work, electric. After I stayed home with my 3rd, I pumped only occasionally and used a manual, I liked that it was portable and easier. But fyi leaking during pregnancy doesn't correlate with post partum production. Your body adjusts to the demand. Some women leak during pregnancy and don't over produce, some don't leak at all but do over produce.

I am in my first pregnancy myself, but all of my friends that have babies have recommended that I get the Hakkaa manual breast pump as well as an electric. I’ve been told that having a manual works great for catching milk from your other breast while you’re breastfeeding.

Don’t pump during pregnancy.  But I love my automatic pump. I have had both.
