I need thoughts from other mommas...
My daughter has a suspected Pilomatrixoma on her upper right thigh. It started out as a small bump that appeared like a bruise. She has had it since probably mid-February. We have seen many specialists, and she is scheduled for surgery on the 14th of this month.
Obviously the thought of my 16 month old baby being under anesthesia freaks me out. I HATE that she has to have surgery.
This thing is always rapidly changing. It does seem to bother her a bit, especially when she hits it on something. But, lately I wonder if it’s starting to heal itself?
I have called the doctor and they haven’t returned my calls yet. I don’t want to give her a surgery she might not need, but I also don’t want her to suffer if it doesn’t go away or potentially reoccurs. I don’t even know what to do.
Here are some progression photos. Let me know, do you think it’s healing maybe?
