Anyone use tablet for baby??

Please no judgement. We have 2 hour drives to a summer home and my 6 month old isn’t doing well in the car anymore. Anyone use a tablet for car rides?? If so, any recommendations?? Thank you!

No. At 6 months old, I feel like that’s way too young. Make frequent stops and/or try to time the trip over a nap time.

Lol at everyone saying no to screen time. If my son was a screaming mess in the car at 6 months we definitely whipped out our phones and played cartoons on YouTube 😂  my son loves Super Simple Songs on YouTube. He’s been watching tv since he was born basically. He’ll be one next week and isn’t behind at all developmentally. Don’t let these other people sham you!

Girl my 5 month old watches Mickey Mouse cartoons every morning😂 I think the tablet is fine as long as you don’t make it an everyday thing like I did with her toonies 😂💗

At 6 months our son wouldn’t have paid attention to a tablet. I agree about going during nap time and bringing some toys. Maybe listening to music baby likes even though it will drive you nuts.

Definitely not. We avoid screen time as much as possible, but will let him watch 10min here and there if I need to do something and he won’t settle anywhere else. 
Try to time your trip with their nap and they’ll probably sleep most of the trip

You will get so many people that are against it commenting and some that are for it. But in the end you will have to figure our what's best for your child and you. It really won't hurt anyone to have screen time, unless they are in front of the screen for hours and hours every single day. They can actually be very helpful tools to help your child and you in so many ways.

Nope. We have a basket of toys and hand him one at a time. He uses it until he’s bored and then we swap it for a different one.

We took at 14 hour trip when my son was about 8 months old. We left at bed time and he slept all night. I only had to move to the back seat with him for the last few hours. Could you try leaving at your child’s nap time? Or you sit next to them in the back seat?
