Not dilating ... induced?

Has anyone not dilated at all and ended up being induced ? If so how was the experience ?

If you aren't dilated or effaced and are induced it increases your chances of needing a c section. My friend got stuck at 5cm dilation and needed to have a c section. She's been coaching me to ripen my cervix before I need to be induced (scheduled for 22nd, but hoping to labor naturally before that).
Try to do everything you can to ripen your cervix before induction if you want it to be much easier and shorter. Go on long walks, have sex with ejaculation, nipple stimulation, evening primrose oil inserted vaginally, bouncing on a birth ball, and eating dates.

I was just induced on Tuesday with no dilation! I did Cervidil for 24 hours which started mild contractions and got my cervix softened. Got put on pictocin at 9am and had my baby at 1pm! It was not bad at all!
