How long until contractions were every 5 minutes?

For your August mamas that have already had your babies or mamas that have had a baby before, how long from when you started getting until they started coming every 5 minutes and you decided to head to the hospital? With my first my water broke so I didn’t have to wait for contractions but I’m super curious how long it takes! Thanks 😊

I think it took about 12 hours from the start of early labour (first contractions) to being consistently 5 mins apart with painful contractions with my first.

It all depends. With my first I started getting light contractions at 40+6 that were more time-able by 5am at 41 weeks but didn’t get more painful and close until 11pm. So long time for me.

I’m like you and with my first my water broke. 
I started light contractions around 1 pm on Wednesday. I was stuck at around 7-9 minutes apart for a long time. Early labor lasted long but I went through active labor much faster. I was having contractions around 3-5 minutes apart around 6/7am the next day so 15 hours.

Mine went very fast. They were almost immediately at 5 minutes apart, it took tops an hour to get there after starting contractions. Had him 4.5 hours after the start
