When did you tell your employer you’re pregnant ?

I was going to wait until after the first scan at 9 weeks but I’ve been hella sick and worried it might affect my work. I’m 6 + 2 right now.

I’m a teacher. I told my assistant principal as soon as we had a positive test because she knew our situation. (Trying for 3 years and spent a year going to a fertility clinic). Our principal is male and I felt more comfortable talking to her. I didn’t tell him until after my 2nd appointment at 13wks.

I told mine at 13 weeks. I could have waited since were working from home, but we posted the announcement on Facebook and I wanted them to know beforehand.

I told them almost immediately and I’m happy I did because so far this first trimester has kicked my ass. I’m exhausted and nauseated over everything. They are so understanding and even let me go home when I need to.

I had to tell my boss at 10 weeks. I am a Liquor and wine sales rep so we’re always drinking/sampling. But if I had a different career I’d probably wait 12-15 weeks or really whenever you’re comfortable!

I told mine at 8 weeks but only because I needed time off at short notice to go for a scan following a bleed. If I hadn’t, I would have told them after 12 weeks

The day after my positive test lol I came in to work after thinking I had a weird ass flu that came and went randomly and didn't have a fever, and he asked me if I was feeling better and I said yeah a little now that I know what is happening and it isn't the flu. I told him I had a positive pregnancy test and he legit got so happy lol 😂 it was funny watching his face light up and he's like ohhh wow for real? So it's official you know for sure??? 🤣 I said yep totally pregnant. My old boss is an awesome dude.

My OB office is an hour from where I live and work and that's not counting traffic. I wanted to wait but needed to tell them as soon as I made my first appointment to ensure I could switch my schedule or find overage so I could leave early. If my doctor was closer I would have waited until the 12 week mark at the absolute earliest

I ended up telling my employer right after my 8 week OB appointment. I was so sick with both my pregnancies and I just couldn’t run around the way I had been at work so I let him know early so he would understand that I wasn’t slacking off.
