Trying to grow avocados... is this seed rotting?

I know they are suppose to crack all the way down the seeds but does this seems like it’s rotting and dying away?

I can never get them to grow! So, I don't know!

I tried and mine went moldy, apparently all my scrubbing didn’t get all the fruit off haha.

It takes like 10 years or some ridiculous amount of years for them to actually produce 😂 
I wouldn’t waste your time unless you’re just in absolute love with them.

My abuelito used to grow avacados this way and I never seen one of his look like this. Although I definitely did not inherit the green thumb lol so I couldnt tell u much more.

I tried that idk if I did it right but threw it away after two months 😂😂😂 I didn’t see no change or roots lol... good luck

I grew 2 avocado trees. I didn't use the tooth picks, I just put them in water and let them sit for a while and after they started to crack open I put them in a pot and they started growing. One lived for about 6 years then died :( and the other has been growing for maybe 4 years now.
