AFP levels

Hi,

I am curious for the my last 2 pregnancies and current pregnancy my AFP levels have come back elevated.

My last 2 babies were born healthy no birth defects. This pregnancy my levels are high again I have the anatomy ultrasound this week which will tell me more about baby’s development.

My gut tells me though that the baby is just fine.

I’m wondering if any of you have had the same thing happen high AFP levels but have healthy babies? Why can that be?
