As the title says my cat has a lot of discharge in her left eye today. It also looks a bit swollen, she’s keeping her eyelid cover up more then the other side in the corner(idk if it’s just stuck or cause she’s squinting a bit)

I’ve wiped it with some pet eye wipes and also a warm cloth, got a lot of it out but it still seems a bit irritated.

She has no other symptoms of being sick that I can tell, shes still been eating, no sneezing, breathing normally etc.

Will it get better on its own or should I be taking her to the vet?

I also have a 5 month old kitten that likes to try to play with her, wondering if maybe he batted her in the eye. Would that cause this?

Any advice is appreciated:)
