Hey! First time mom here, due Dec 2020. Is it normal to feel abandoned by friends during pregnancy? I have my boyfriend and both our families for support but it would be nice if i had friends that were more involved. They both are kidless and we all are young so it is that maybe I’m not interested in being friends with them anymore? Any reply is a good reply... thanks in advance! 💗

This happened with me, all of a sudden they started to talk to me less and started doing other things which kind of sucked at first but honestly I was so busy getting ready my for baby that I wasn’t to worried or upset about it, both of you now have two different mindsets now, they are still being young and doing whatever while your preparing for a baby now.. it’s hard being friends with people who have no kids or babies because they can’t really understand & there’s a lot of things you won’t be able to do due to having a baby which some people don’t understand, one of my friends asked if I could come over today & I told them over & over how I can’t just up & leave.. I have a child now I have to seriously plan something for me to go out days or weeks in advance.. but you’ll be fine, make some mom friends 😊

That happened to me when I was 17/18 but happened way before I got pregnant I went to do homeschool for the rest of high school and they stopped talking to me but I still don’t have friends or even mom friends really my daughter is 1.6 years old she’ll be 2 in January 🥺 and I’ll have my second baby in February 2021 I’m 19 I’ll be 20 in October I’ve done fine thus far without much friends I’m use to not having friends honestly

You guys are at different stages in your life and they cant relate to what you are going through. It is, unfortunately, a really common thing to see distance grow and even friendships dissolve completley when someone has a baby. 
Try not to let it bother you too much.
