How was your experience with induction labor??!

My mom and my sister are coming from Mexico for my Labor is  and help me with my toddler:,.can I ask my doctor to induce my labor since my sister only got three weeks permission from her work:.  if so it’s a really painful ??

Mine went fine. I was induced at 41 +5 days. 
Didn't need the epidural till after my water broke. Took almost 24 hours though from when we got there to when baby came out. 
And he was perfectly fine after.

Induced with my first pregnancy and I couldn’t have asked for a better labor and delivery AND postpartum experience! I think some of that was luck, but I just never want people to assume induction=the worst labor ever. Mine was great! Hoping I get just as lucky with round 2, and going into labor naturally!!

Contractions are usually much more painful and close together when you are induced and I ended up getting the epidural much sooner then I would of otherwise. I’m also worried it sent my baby into distress and she ended up in the NICU for a week so my mom missed all the time with her anyways. I would just enjoy the time with your mom and sister waiting for baby to come. But drs seem very willing to induce right now due to COVID so I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem if you asked :)

I was induced with my first and I didn’t mind the process. It was long but I had an epidural so I didn’t feel too much pain.

I was induced at 41+3. I had an epidural so that helped with most of the pain. What I didn't like was that I was stuck in the bed for 14.5 hours hooked up to stuff. I think more natural labour, you can move around etc.

To me my induction was less painful then my natural labor but it did take way longer fo baby to come
