Gestational hypertension

SAHM ♥️♥️

Today I was sent to labor and delivery and found out I have gestational hypertension. I was just sent home and was told to see my dr on Friday for a GPP. I’m 36 weeks and just curious why they’re worried about my BP but they’re choosing to put me on meds instead of inducing me. If my Bp is a problem I’d rather them get my baby out of there instead of just masking the problem with medication. Just looking for some input from other moms who have experienced this. Did you end up being induced for it? I’m a FTM so I’m just confused. I know it’s a good thing that I don’t have preeclampsia but I’m still worried about my bp being so high..
