My goal was to breastfeed for a year. Baby girl figured out hot to latch right away and I was like ok we got this. Flash forward 4 months later when she refused to continue nursing leaving me with the option to either exclusively pump or switch to formula. As much as I hate pumping, and my husband told me I could give it up anytime I wanted, I still so badly wanted to make it to that year mark if I could. As I sit her attached to my pump i had the realization that I’m way past the half way mark, and with 4 months to go it feels like there is finally an end in sight. I fully respect any mamas choice when it comes to feeding their baby because at the end of the day a fed baby is a happy baby but just want to give a shout out to all the other exclusively pumping moms out there because never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be so challenging to keep up but here we are
