Is this normal looking? The redness? The dr did put the silver nitrate on it a few days ago but this is how it looks now

Looks a little more red than my babies did. My LO did have some bleeding and the cord came off over several days so it was a little crusty. We put some Neosporin on it and the doc said that was ok.

My baby’s belly looked kind of  like that, my pediatrician told me to gently clean it around the edges with a washcloth and warm water! Brown crusty stuff came off (gross) but her bellybutton has looked better ever since!
