Preparation for TTC?

Is there anything I should so before TTC? We’ve been trying for 5 months now and this is our first baby and I feel like we just jumped right in before checking anything out. I got pregnant once but miscarried a year and a half ago. My bf said everything should be ok since I’ve gotten pregnant before but I just don’t think that’s true is it? What kind of pre pregnancy preparation should I do? I really don’t know where to start or what doctor to call

Stop drinking/doing drugs 
Track your cycle 
Exercise regularly (both of you)
Eat well (both of you) 
Practice manifesting a healthy baby
Use ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) - The digital ones are worth the expense

Try not to stress about it all!! (I know- definitely NOT easy! 😂🤷‍♀️) 
If you stress, your body will think it’s not a good time for a baby & won’t let it happen. 
I’m a farm kid & seen it with chickens a million times- if they’re stressed (predator in the area, etc) they won’t lay eggs, so that’s been my theory for years & my doctor recently confirmed it in humans- it’s the stress hormone that blocks us
