Baby girl ear piercing ??

For those with little girls / baby girls I was just looking for advice on how old they were when you decided to get their ears pierced if they are pierced ? I was thinking 6 months old when my daughter was born but she’s 6 months now and it still feels too young for her to go through that . Although I think it would look beautiful .. I also have a lot of people say it’s something they should decide if they want done when their old enough .. what’s your thoughts /opinions thank  you♥️✨

Why are there a load of these posts recently? Putting holes and inflicting pain in a baby is not okay. Culture is not an excuse. Please wait until your child can consent and understands it will be painful and can manage that pain.

I have two daughters. Two and three. When they want to get theirs done, I will take them. Until then, I’m not going to. I remember getting my ears pierced around 6 years old and I felt really special and it was fun. So I’ll give them that same experience.

Me and my sister got pierced at 3 months. I did my daughter at 6 months per the peds recommendation. In our culture getting your ears pierced early is normal and the person to get you your first pair is honered to do so. Usually one of the grandparents or God parents.

I got mine done at 9 days old 🤣. Earrings are very commonly placed veeeeery early in our parents culture. I got my second ear holes pierced when i was 18 and my sister asked my mom to do hers when she was 13. For us one ear hole is like completely normal and the second ear hole is “right of passage” or something you decide on when you’re older. With that being said, we’re having a girl in December and I think we are going to have her ears pierced pretty early as well, at a reputable tattoo shop with a sterilized needle.

I won’t get my daughters ears pierced until she’s old enough to ask and take care of them herself. When that time comes we’ll go to a tattoo and piercing shop since I know they’re actually clean

I have a four year old who loves to be girly. She wears bracelets and necklaces all the time. She sometimes even wears clip on earrings. Claire’s sells them. I decided when I was pregnant that I would leave that decision up to her. Whenever she decides she wants to do it, we’ll make it special. But I don’t see the reason in making a baby feel pain if it’s unnecessary. 🤷🏻‍♀️ At six months old, she would probably play with them, and they could lead to infection or her accidental pulling them out. I just feel like it’s not my body to go poking holes in.

I am going to wait until my daughter is old enough to want to do it and I'll take her to a tattoo parlour. I didn't get my ears pierced until I was like 2...4, maybe? It was after my first breakup anyway

I got my daughters done when she was 2-3 months old. It didn't really bother her.
