Can someone explain round ligament pain ?!?

I am 17 weeks pregnant with my second baby & I am really confused with what I am feeling . Is round ligament pain when you feel your uterus contract ? Is that normal at this stage of pregnancy?

Yea I usually feel these when I stand up to quickly or twist a certain way. It’s kinda like a stabbing pain for me.

Contracting of the uterus isn’t round ligament pains. Contractions are usually from dehydration. Round ligament pain is more like sharp pulled muscle pains but can resemble cramping pains.

Round ligament pain is unfortunately super normal around now. Mine has been brutal some days. But with my first pregnancy i would have some "contractions" because I wasn't drinking enough water. The amount of water you should drink is insane. 😬
