being in love with me is a “chore”

my boyfriend the other day told me being with/inlove with me was a chore, nd that he didnt know what he was gonna do because he didnt want to leave me but he feels like we’re creating a co dependency. to be fair i can be a lot (i have a few mental illnesses that are very extreme that i go to therapy for) but he doesnt ask WHY i do the things i do. hes a very smart person and i dont know how to go about talking to him about this, i see myself marrying him (ive known him for a v long time, 3-4 years) nd i dont want to lose him nd feel like its my fault, hes truly my favorite person.. when im w him i feel so safe nd happy i just :(( please help
