First FET

Background - I did IVF last summer with good result and 5 frozen embryos and a fresh transfer right after, but with a negative test. The process was good and I was not too sad about not getting pregnant, but in the weeks after I started getting really overwhelmed with what I went through and next steps. We decided not to do FET due to that and to wait two months. I registered to start in December and got on a waiting list and got a start date finally in February (im doing it in a public clinic and it is free so there is always a chance to get rejected).

Then my treatment was canceled in February due to covid and they just opened the IVF center again on the day i got my period this month 😀

So, I’m starting now again after a long time. Just had a 14CD echo and I can take a trigger shot (Ovitrelle) tomorrow evening. Trying to have positive thoughts and hope this time my treatment will work out.

I do have a question since it is my first FET. The doctor said that there is a chance that the embryo will not unfreeze correctly and then the FET will not take place. Since then I am reading about it on the internet and it is just making me crazy as I am starting to panic. What is the process at your clinic? Do they use another embryo or do you need to try again another month? Did it happen to you?
