Daycare during Covid...

Al

So my husband and I have been very fortunate these last 19 months to have been able to avoid putting our daughter in daycare. We’ve had lots of support from both our parents. My mom has been one of our main babysitters and she is having a major schedule change coming up and will no longer be able to watch our daughter. That’s 3+ days a week without childcare... so now we find ourselves considering daycare. No one else’s schedule is consistent enough to really rely on. Their days off fluctuate so it’s difficult to know when they can watch her. My mom has always been the go to, if no one else is available, I knew she would be. My work schedule is getting busier and operates on appointments so I can’t really adjust my availability to help accommodate. My husband and I are also in the process of buying a house so I NEED to keep working... I’m just a little worried about having to put her in daycare. I mean, if the state of the world was different I’m sure I wouldn’t feel like this. Any Moma’s out there having to put their babies in daycare during a pandemic? How are you coping? I have found a daycare, and it’s actually the same one my sister takes my nephew to so that helps give me some comfort.... but still a nervous nelly about the whole idea...
